Butteryfly Pavilion

Denver has the funniest attractions for kids, and we only went to a few of them! We spend yesterday afternoon at the Butterfly Pavilion where there are spiders, creatures from the ocean, a big room where butterflies fly around, and a play area called "SHRUNK." All the kids held Rosie the Tarantula! I was so proud of all the kids, but over joyed for my Olivia. For those of you who are around Olivia a lot will know what a big deal holding the tarantula was. She is afraid of everything! She is just growing up so fast and becoming so brave. I am just so in love with her, and the wonderful girl that she is. Heavenly Father truly sent me a special one with Olivia, and I can't wait to see what kind of person she is going to become. Who would have thought that the butterfly pavilion could have done all that.

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science

Yesterday we spend most of the day at the Museum. It was such a blast and the kids did so great! We got there around 11 which means that we left the house at 10:30, which is a huge deal when you are talking about five small children and two adults who just decieded to go at 9. Anyways, we got there and got our tickets which turned out to be free because of the Military Discount! How could that not be a great start to the trip? While we were they we saw 11 exhibits if you count the T-Rex Cafe, and I do. Ethans favortie exhibit was Egyptian Mummies. Olivia's favorite was just all the animals, and Kai also like the animals but loved, Discovery Kids. I think that my favorite was playing I spy in all the animal exibits. We had such a great time and can't wait to go back and see all that we couldn't get to!

IRON MAN

The only thing that Ethan talked about doing the whole trip was going to see Iron Man with his Uncle Chris. They went last Tuesday and Ethan was so excited. When they got back I asked Ethan how the movie was and he said: "There was a part where Iron Man changed his costume and I had some popcorn in my hand to put in my mouth and when I saw the new costume I dropped it!" All I could think was that must have been an amazing costume. Anyways I think they had a great time and I got a few pictures of them before they left!

The Lake

Since we have been in Colorado we have been able to enjoy a few days out on the Lake. The weather hasn't been the best and I wish we had gone more, but I guess we brought the weather with us. The kids love the boat. Kai the most, as it is the first thing he talks about in the morning and the last thing he asks for at night. The kids love to jump in the water while we are switching wake boarders. The water is freezing so they don't stay in very long at all!

Happy Mother's Day/ Farewell Chase!

Well, I guess I will start with our big GOODBYE to CHASE! I can't even believe that we won't see you for two years! My heart breaks for my little Kai who love and adores Chase, but I know they will be friends again when he returns. We love the Park family and are so grateful for them and all they do. I feel lucky to know Chase and to have had the opportunity to spend so much time with him and his fabulous family. We will mis s you but are so proud of you!

Now to Mothers Day! I have to say without Brian here it is just another regular day, however I have really enjoyed myself today and am so grateful to wonder friends and a fabulous ward for that. But I am the most thankful to Chase today. Now I have to say this before I go on, but I LOVE High School Musical! I have just recently discovered it and am just in love. I am always happy when the kids say they want to watch it and sit with them and sing along. For Mother's Day Chase got me a life size cardboard cut out of Zac Efron and put it next to my stairs in my house as a surprise. I just love it! Thank you so much Chase I will laugh and think of you every time I walk into my room! And good luck to Brian trying to top it next year!
There is a picture of Chase and I with Zac so that will be coming soon!

A few more from Point No Point

Sorry for all the pictures! I have been playing with my new Photoshop CS3 and I have to say I am in love! We had such a great time and I couldn't be happier with how the pictures turned out. I am in need of practice and excuses to go to the beach! So, who's next?

Point No Point

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the beach! We had such a great time with the sand beneath our toes and the wind in our hair. The kids played near the water (remember we are in Washington and the water is FREEZING), they flew a kite, went on a walk for sea shells, and played in the sand. This was first for Kai since he didn't get to live in Charleston, and he loved it all. He was so busy exploring that I didn't get very many pictures of him or at least the front of him. I can't wait for Brian to get home and to do our family pictures there!

Girls Weekend Cont.

After we finished at the spa we headed back to the hotel room to get ready for a night out on the town and to do Shama's pick of the weekend. After we were all ready we headed out to. We went to this great place and I got the best food ever, but I can't remember what it is called! Then we went to do Shama's all time favorite thing! KARAOKE!

Here we are at THE POST OFFICE in Leavenworth singing just for Shama. She sang with that random guy and it was hilarious! All in all it was a blast and I can't wait to go again!
Just so your mind doesn't wonder too far! From left to right: Beehive Advisor, Primary President, Primary Secretary, and Young Women's First Counselor.

Girls Weekend

It was a few months ago, but I really want to share some photos of the fun trip I took with some girlfriends to Leavenworth. We left early Friday morning and headed to Stevens Pass where Brittney and I snowboarded and Jen and Shama skied. It has been at least five years for me since I have been snowboarding so I was a little rusty but I still had a blast. It was Brittney's first time ever snowboarding and she did very well. Jen is a pro skier and Shama learned lots of new techniques from her.

Then we drove the rest of the way to Leavenworth and to our hotel room. We were all exhausted when we got there. We have all been playing floor hockey and so we took pictures of our bruised legs.

The next day was our spa part. We each picked something we really wanted out of the weekend and this was Brittney's pick. Skiing and Snowboarding was mine and Jen's, by the way. Here are a few pictures that Shama took of us while we were "relaxing."
That is me with my face covered during my body wrap!
