With fall brings the leaves falling, sweaters, yummy smells, and most importantly Halloween. Then fall doesn't disappoint when Halloween is over because we have yet more to look forward to in Thanksgiving, which sets us right up for the wonderful Christmas season.
I think that decorating for fall is what I most look forward to during summer. As I have been at the stores the past week I have noticed the shift from summer sale items to leaves and pumpkins. I came home last week from trying to get some things done for the kids to start school and was inspired to get out my decorations. I got the boxes down in the garage, but was rudely interrupted by a lover of summer, Brian. He didn't want to see the fall stuff or even talk about it. He just said "No way, it is still summer." In Brian's world summer lasts to the end September, but for me it starts after Labor Day. I just have to get through this long weekend and up they go! I can't wait!
