Hair Cut - Before & After

Yesterday Katie, Shama, and I went to Tacoma to get our hair cut! I had such a blast spending the day with Shama and Katie. I adore them both and feel so blessed to have them in my life. I am sad we didn't get a before and after of all three of us together.

Mrs. Barb's Garden P.M.

After lunch I headed back to Mrs. Barb's garden except with Olivia in tow this time. It had warmed up quite a bit from this morning and I couldn't wait to spend some time with my sweet little Ollie!

Her first stop was the tetherball game!
Then Mrs. Barb showed them the same bugs she showed Kai's class. She wasn't quite as interested in them as Kai was! HA Her poor face, she looks scared to death!
Then we headed out on the hike. She was so fast and LOVED being in the front with Mrs. Barb.

She was nervous about seeing bugs everywhere and was on high alert for them at all times!

Then we head over to the water fountains and she was having a hard time seeing the fish, so Ms. Trish took her to the prime "looking" spot.
She finally saw some!

Then we headed to the actual garden and she showed the bigger kids something she didn't show the little kids. A bird nest with babies in it! Olivia was a little nervous but looked anyways and thought it was so cool! She talked about how the were chirping for the mom the rest of the day!
The whole class picture! Ms. Nancy is seriously the BEST!
At the very end Olivia took a picture with her friend Korbin. They were moving after this field trip and wouldn't see him again. It was sad because they had been playing together almost everyday since they moving to WA a few years ago.
It was a great day spent at Mrs. Barb's Garden.

Mrs. Barb's Garden A.M.

The end of the school year is ending and this is the field trip I have look forward to the most. Mrs. Barb has the most beautiful house and property and it is so much fun to visit. I went twice so I could go with both Kai (in the morning) and Olivia (in the afternoon).

When we first pulled up Kai was memorized by the water fountain in front of the house. He couldn't wait to get a closer look at that!
First Mrs. Barb showed the children a snail...
...Kai loved it! He wasn't the slightest bit grossed out and even wanted to touch it!
After we saw all the bugs Mrs. Barb had we followed her on a walk through the woods on the right of her house. Shortly after our hike we ran into this tree. The kids loved it and so did I!
Finally Kai got up close to the fountain and it did not disappoint! He saw frogs and fish and was in heaven!
I called his name to get a picture of him and this is what I got
then this
and finally this!
Lastly, we headed over to her garden to see all the fruits and vegetables she has planted. It was amazing! She does raised beds in a fenced off area with a gate to keep the animals out.
I tried to get a few more pictures of Kai but all he had were fun poses.
Then we got a full class picture! I love trying to get 10 2-3 year olds to all smile and look at the camera! HA
It was a super fun morning with Kai!

This Memorial Day Weekend I....

Listened as Kai told my mom about Luke's fighting moves which are mostly kicking

Watched the kids engage in several water fights

Punished my kids' first food (really it was a watermelon) fight

Snuggled Luke out back while the big kids showed us their best moves on the trampoline

Then when the kids chanted "mom, mom, mom" I showed my best moves on the trampoline. Kai was chanting "Mary Jane, Mary Jane" which is my alias when he is spiderman

Asked Olivia why she was only wearing one shoe. She told me her foot hurt. When I asked her why, she said because she was biting it. When I asked he why on Earth she was biting her foot, she said because she didn't want her nails to get too long. Ohh, I love that girl with long curly  hair

Enjoyed wonderful friends and yummo food

Gave Ethan his homework assignment which was to go out back and list everything that is living. I told him I would be right out to help. When I got out there and looked at his list I about died laughing when at the top of his list was the word ME

Now I say goodbye to this great weekend as I finish my recorded Nuggets game and snuggle Kai, who was so sure he wasn't tired but has fallen asleep next to me on the couch

Singing In The Rain...

My love for the Nuggets became more obvious on Tuesday night. During the game the kids decided they were going to play in the RAIN, and I didn't even notice them walk past me to the backyard with all the gear on! Well, they had a blast and looked so cute soaking wet! I just hope it doesn't rain tonight during the game so they can play outside and be DRY!

GO NUGGETS!

Look Divine In 2009

I recently made a vow to NEVER exercise again after an unfortunate running incident that I am not ready to share with the world. Since making said vow I have been very tired and irritable AND "SOFT."

So, I am now making a new vow, that I AM going to start exercising again in effort to "Look Divine In 2009."

I will be starting P90X tomorrow morning bright and early which I have heard is crazy intense. I have taken my before picture and measurements, and am ready to go. I do have to say that I am still nursing and will still have to be mindful of that with my eating and supplement taking.

So, who else out there is working hard to "Look Divine In 2009"? Let me know so we can support each other, because lets face it I am big quitter when it comes to working out! I need motivation!
