Olivia's Mad Tea Party

Olivia's 6 Birthday Party was so much fun. We had a tea party in the woods behind our house. The day started out crazy, though. Ethan had a series of scrimmages in the morning and then also had pictures in the afternoon. I left the scrimmage early to come home and get everything ready but everyone else didn't get home until 30 minutes before the party was supposed to start. I was FREAKING out. Olivia hadn't even had a shower yet. As it always does everything worked out and went perfectly.

The party started out with all the girls getting their finger nails painted.

Then we played the hula hoop game where everyone holds hand and you have to pass the hula hoop down the line. The girls loved this and were super fast.

The next game we played was hilarious! There were two teams. At the bottom of the hill there were two piles of my clothes that included a dress, shoes, scarf, purse, and necklace. Each team had a girl they had to dress up, she stayed at the top of the hill. The rest of the team went down one at a time to get an article of clothing, put it on, run up the hill, take it off, and put it on the girl who was getting dressed up. They all loved it and everyone got a turn getting all dressed up.
Then it was time for tea aka pink lemonade.

I took a few pictures of the set up before the girls came over.

Before they found their seats they were given a petti skirt, necklace, and bracelet. They all looked beautiful and loved the skirts.

Happy Birthday little Olive!

Happy Birthday Olivia

My Sweetest Little Lady,

A few days ago I was cleaning up in your room and I found a picture of you when you were two. It took everything in me to hold back the tears and not melt down on the floor right there. The time has gone so fast and you have grown so much. You have grown into a compassionate, loving, smart, beautiful, sweet, and caring little girl. You are very organized and follow the "a place for everything and everything in its place rule." You love having a clean room and when it gets messy you get very frustrated. You are always helping me around the house and your favorite jobs to help with are vacuuming and washing windows, also anything involved with the clorox cleaning wipes you are game for. Swimming is your life (a silly thing you always say from iCarly your favorite show). You are a swimming machine and are getting so fast. You would live at the pool and never leave if I would let you. You are so smart and I love the time we spend together doing "school time". Math is definitely your subject! You love it and learn the new concepts so quickly. Right now you are working on all your 1st grade sight words and your reading so well. You are so excited for school to start and want me to drive by the school everyday on the way to the pool. You are also a dancing machine. Everyday you get my phone and ask me if you can "Pump Up The Jams" of course I say yes and then you spend the next hour dancing around the dinning room table. The boys all start out dancing with you but one by one they all leave while you are still going strong.

Olivia you are the most special little girl in the whole world. Your laugh is contagious and when you get laughing the rest of us are powerless against it! You are beautiful on the inside and out and everyone you meet loves you. You have such a kind heart and are so easy going. We are so extremely blessed to have you in our family, and I thank Heavenly Father for you everyday. How we got so lucky to have you as apart of our family I will never know! I love you so much and I wish I could slow time down just a little. You're the best la la!!!

Love,
Mommy

Football Practice Day 1

Today was Ethan's first official day of football practice. Last week the league had their "draft" (which just makes sure the teams are fair) and this week is real practice! I took some pictures of him before Brian took him and he was so excited. Lately whenever I bring up football he does the I-am-trying-not-to-smile thing.

Oh yeah did I mention that practices are two hours every weekday until school starts and then they are three days a week. WHAT?! Did we move to Pennsylvania or Texas?

Anyways, he is loving it and is Brian so Win-Win! Honestly, I thought that Brian was going to love it WAY more then Ethan, but so far that hasn't been the case. In fact we had some friends over for dinner on Sunday and Ethan came down in his pads to show them off, he is so hilarious.

Brian really wants Ethan to be a linebacker. I think that is part of the reason he is helping coach at the practices, so he can voice his opinion come position picking time!

Here is Ethan trying not to smile!!
