Friday Night Lights

Friday night Ethan's team had the opportunity to be on the field while the Seneca Valley Varsity Football team did their pre game warm ups. First of all I can't say enough how AWESOME all Ethan's coaches are. They are constantly going above and beyond for the boys, and as a parent but especially a mother, I am so grateful. They boys were all so excited to be out on the field and they had the most amazing time. We decided to make a night of it and stay to watch the game.

Then they gave all the boys pre game high fives.

The Coaches

There were also 3 very cute girls there to watch all the action. We invited some friends of ours to come and watch the game with us, and I am so glad we did. Olivia had a blast!

Olivia, Carlie, and Emily. Olivia's silliness was at an all time high during the game.
Last but not least, Lukie!
I realize I have no pictures of Kai and yes he was there with us. However, I only knew where he was about 25% of the time. He is the busiest little boy I know!

Park Days

Today was Kai's First real day of school and to celebrate I thought we should head to the park. We drive by this park everyday on the way to football practice but have never played there before so we decided to check it out. My friend Emily and her baby Ethan came with us and I thought Kai needed a friend to play with. It worked out perfectly because we brought Max and he and Kai are like two peas in a pod. They both love shooting bad guys and hiding in Castles. It was a great day.

In other news. It is really cooling off here. When the sun isn't shinning and the wind is blowing it is sweater weather!

Kai's First Day

Kai's first day of school was today. He was a little put off that mom's were supposed to stay the first day, but he dealt with it well. He has been waiting since Ethan and Olivia started last week and the past 6 days have been torture for him.

During story time Ms. Sharon invited the parents to sit with the children on the carpet but Kai said, "That's ok mom, you can just wait over there."

He was so busy running around checking out the room that Luke and I had a hard time keeping up with him. We did the classroom scavenger hunt which was so much fun and then spent tons of time playing.
Luke had tons of fun, too! He doesn't really play with toys at home and it was so fun to see what he was drawn to. I think we have a train lover on our hands.

Here's to a great year of what Kai calls "Church School"

Labor Day

Long weekends are so nice. This Labor Day weekend has been especially perfect because we got to slow down and relax a bit. Since football has started and Brian got called into Young Mens I feel like I never see him anymore. So today we got up earlier then I ever want to on "non school" days and headed to the park for our wards Labor Day Breakfast. We all had such a wonderful time and Brian even got to play football.

After that we came home and had the rest of the day to ourselves. No practices, meetings, or errands! It was wonderful!

While Luke was napping the rest of us watched Whale Wars reruns. Brian and I were snuggling on the love seat, Olivia and Kai were on the big couch, and Ethan was on the recliner. After a little while Olivia came over to Brian and I and said:

"I just qweep (keep) falling off that couch!"

Then climbed on with us. We were totally squished but it was obvious she had plenty of space on the "big" couch and just wanted to snuggle with us. She is getting so big every day and I welcome a good snuggling opportunity. Pretty soon she fell asleep. It was the sweetest moment and I loved every second of it.

Kai couldn't stand not being in any pictures. I felt like the photographer in the "Phyllis' Wedding" episode of the Office when he was trying to get a family picture without Michael.

This is their first year riding the bus. I have mixed feelings about it but they are so excited about it. All the neighborhood mom's raved about the bus driver so I feel pretty good about it.

I guess this means summer is officially over.
