Fishing
Today I had planned to go visiting teaching and my awesome companion Melissa offered for the children to come to her house to play. I knew they would LOVE it. I made the promise they would be on their best behavior for Levi and Hannah, and off we went. When Melissa and I got back we found the children down at the pond fishing. Ummmm, could Levi and Hannah be more awesome, NO they couldn't!
Kai was the only one to catch a fish, and man oh man was he proud!

A Trip to the Eye Doctor
Started out with questions and a quick eye exam by the assistant,
then in came the big guns, Dr. Steinhafel, to do the main exam,
the back to the waiting room while her eyes dilated.
The verdict, no glasses just 10 weeks of vision therapy!

Community Days
We told the children that we would take them to Community Days yesterday, but we got lazy. So we super promised them we could go today. We got a little later start then we wanted but we finally made it!
We got our tickets for the rides and separated.
Here is Luke and Ethan on the roller coaster!
They only got to ride one ride before a torrential down pour started. Can you tell how happy Ethan was about that?
Finally after about an hour, and right when we were getting ready to call it a day the rain let up. So back to rides we went to finish off all our tickets!
Finally it was time to get the funnel cakes (which might or might not have been the only reason I went), and while we were in line Luke through a HUGE fit! All we knew was that he didn't want a funnel cake (he is obviously crazy), but he was so distraught that he couldn't tell us what he wanted. Finally he told us he wanted cotton candy. So after he apologized to everyone we were with for acting like a manic, and asked with manners Brian ran over and got him some!
Just in time to enjoy the fireworks!
Until next year Community Days!
Saturday Job Adventures
This Saturday started the way most do, working on Saturday Jobs and Summer Goals. For some reason still unknown to me the front door got left open and in flew a bird!
Brian was still gone to the gym, so an emergency phone call was made for him to hurry home. The children and I stayed upstairs until Brian got home to deal with it.
The children watched from the stairs as Brian tried to coax it out from under the china cabinet.
Finally the plan was made to open the window, take out the screen, and have Ethan made bird noises outside.
It might sound weird. But it worked!

"helping"
This afternoon while I was busy turning 30+ lbs of these,
into this,
Luke was busy "helping" get his new room ready.
Wasn't that nice of him?

Out for a Cruise
There isn't much that can beat a summer nights cruise around town. Especially when Finn gets to come!
