Luke's Birthday Party

Since Luke loves anything with wheels we decided on a Cars theme for the party.

Luke wanted nothing to do with the hat but I tried to keep it on him

In the end he won the hat battle

Me and my sweet baby

Luke wasn't too sure about the cake at first but Olivia's excitement eventually rubbed off on him.

Luke was hilarious once he got a piece of that cake. He looked at it and picked the plate up and moved it around for about 5 whole minutes before he took a bit. It was crazy because he eats EVERYTHING and wouldn't touch that yummy cake.

Finally he dug in and ate it up

After we cleaned the cake up and got the kids in the PJ's we headed to the family room for presents.

What a sweet little cute pie!

Happy Birthday my Sweet Lukie Baby! I love you so much!

Happy Birthday Luke

Today is Luke's 1st Birthday!

Luke,
I can hardly believe that you are one already. It has gone by so fast and you has gotten so big. It is crazy to think that you are the same baby that wasn't gaining any weight. We had to go back to the hospital everyday for two weeks while they monitored your weight. You are such a sweet baby and we all just love you to pieces. You love to be outside even though it is so cold. You will eat just about anything, and you are a huge snacker. You have been walking for about a month now and really have the hang of it. The craziest think is that you can just stand up from the middle of the floor without a table or chair to help you up. Your balance is amazing. Lately, you are all about dancing. Whenever any music comes you start spinning and galloping all around. You are such a joy and I love you so much! Happy Birthday my sweet little Lukie!

Happy Chinese New Year

Last Friday Ethan came home from school with his February calendar. He was to say the least frustrated that we had done nothing for Rosa Parks' Birthday, but was ready to put it all behind him for a Chinese New Year celebration. Since I am not one to crush any party having dreams I told him I would make it happen. After I dropped him and Olivia off at school this morning I started planning. Since it was a last minute party with only a day to prepare I decided we would just order Chinese food so that I could focus 100% on the decor.

The best part, of course I don't have a picture of, was when they got home from school and saw the Chinese Dragon on the front door. They were both so excited and couldn't wait to get inside to see what else was in store for them.

Kai was such a great helper all day long!

Ethan's this is awesome dance!

While I was plating up dinner Ethan was looking at his calendar.

He said in his most serious voice, "Mom, what are we going to do for Abraham Lincoln's Birthday?"

I said, "I don't know Ethan"

Brian said, "Don't be so surprised, you made him this way!"

I love that Ethan and I share the love for a good party no matter the reason.

It as a good day.

Where's Luke?

There he is!

Lately this is where Luke spends his days. He is so funny when he gets in there and then doesn't want to come out.

Olivia's 100 Day Poster

Olivia had a project due for her 100 days of school celebration. She needed to make a poster displaying 100 of something. Olivia and Brian came up with the idea of 100 bumble bee's and from there I went crazy. School Project is practically my middle name. I had such a great time working with Olivia and watching her count. She is such a smart girl and a blast to be with!

A Visit From Eden

I don't know if there is anything that makes the children happier then when Eden comes over to visit them. They run to the door screaming her name when she walks in. They are in her face the whole time she is there. Then they are sad when she has to leave.

We love our Eden!

All Signs Point to......

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP PA

(the Ann Taylor Loft is at the end of these shops, I guess I can move there now!)

Yesterday the hiring recruiter from Westinghouse called and extended the position to Brian verbally and said we would get an email with the formal letter and all other information. We waited all afternoon for the email and it never came, but bright and early this morning it was here. Brian and I have read through it, all of it, which included their relocation package as well as their temporary living and house hunting package. A lot of information!!!

We are going to officially except tomorrow and we are both very excited about it. I think all the boys are excited as well, but Olivia not so much! There is still a TON to decide and think about, but at least we are focused on one thing.

The first order of business is to take the kids to Red Robin which was promised them when Brian got the job! An easy enough start!

The Morning After

This is how Kai looks this morning. Oh Kai, what should we do with you!

Kai's Hurt......Again

Tonight as Brian and I were gathering the children for scriptures and prayer Kai was being a little wild. I was in the room with Kai and Luke, while Brian was rounding up Ethan and Olivia. I was looking for the chapter we left off on last night, when out of the corner of my eye Kai came flying off the bed and landed on Olivia's dollhouse. I of course ran and grabbed him, moving him to the bathroom as quickly as I could because it looked like it was going to start gushing blood, and yes I was thinking of my parents carpet. He is so lucky that it didn't bust open, you could see a VERY thin layer of skin left. After he finished screaming, he of course had to blame someone, because it couldn't have been his fault he was just doing a ridiculous flip off the bed. He picked Olivia to blame since it was her dollhouse after all.

"Why did you put your dollhouse there?" he kept asking her in his angry voice.

Side note: the dollhouse was where it belonged!

A Day in the Life of Luke

After eating breakfast he spends a little time in his boat.

Then Kai joins him for a spin.
I get tired from taking the boys for a spin so Kai leaves, but Luke doesn't give up. I of course give in because he is so stinkin' cute, and off he goes around the kitchen table, past the fridge, onto the oven, and back to the pantry.

Luke usually spends a few hours a day just being cute.

He then goes out back to eat some chalk.
And if he hears music, he can't stop himself. With Kai's at the lead they are both off showing their best moves.
Luke's best moves include putting his hands above his head, spinning in circles, and lifting his legs up.
Another perfect day to go down in the books!

You and What Army?

Kai spend about 20 minutes getting ready to play outside today. Once he finally had all this clothes on he announced "let's go" I grabbed my camera because he looked so awesome. Once we got out front he jumped on his scooter and flew down the drive way and yelled,

"You and What Army?"

He spent the next 30 minutes getting all the bad guys in sight.

All in a days work for a Super Hero!
