One Last Hurrah

Yesterday we went to the famous Casa Bonita as their choice for their favorite thing to do here in Colorado before we leave. We got the greatest seats in the house, right next to the stage and the Gorilla jumped from the stage to the rocks right next to our table! I think the kids were in such shock that they couldn't even scream. I wish I would have had the video camera because Kai's face was hilarious!

Well, we leave tomorrow morning for Pittsburgh and I have to be honest I am very sad. I did ask Brian to commute and his response was, "You should have brought that up BEFORE we bought the house." I guess he is right!

So here's to an adventure!

SEC CHAMPS!

For as long as I can remember I was taught to LOVE UK Basketball. I remember my parents watching the games in the family room, and that perfection was a requirement especially from my mom. If Kentucky wasn't winning by AT LEAST 25 points she was freaking out.

Things like "What the heck are they doing?"

"Do they just want to throw away the season to this horrible team?"

and

"I can't take it anymore" followed by leaving the room, where often heard out of my mothers mouth.

She would "watch" the rest of the game through any noise my dad made to determine how they were doing. Some times she would come down and look at the score, stay a few minutes repeat all her previous sayings and then was gone again.

Thanks to my mom I also want nothing but perfection from my Kentucky Wildcats and couldn't be happier with the season they are having!

Congrats on the SEC Championship today, I almost peed myself there at the end of regulation, and woke up Luke when you made that last minute shot with my jumping and yelling!

Now for the National Title!

It's all ours

Today we closed on the Victorian house! Brian left last night after Kai's Birthday festivities and the kids I am will leave on the 24th.

Honestly, I haven't been feeling to excited about the move. I have been trying to pretend but really not so much, until earlier this week. I am so excited that we are able to purchase this home! I can't wait to get all our old stuff back as well as add the new stuff we have gotten.

I can't wait for the kids to see their rooms and their new awesome back yard, and run off to get lost in the woods behind us. I can't wait to have our first diner in the new house together as a family! I can't wait to paint and put up wainscoting, which is like my most favorite thing in the whole wide world!

So in honor of this great day here are a few pictures of the new place!

Kai is 4

Last night before Kai went to bed I was snuggling him. He told me that when he wakes up he will be 4! I asked him to PLEASE stay 3 for just a little while longer. He looked at me and said "Nope, sorry mom I can't. That is not how it works" So since he can't stay 3 here are some things about our awesome 4 year old!

He loves:
basketball, football, and baseball
pizza
wolverine
preschool
playing or doing anything outside
helping fix the expedition

He hates:
going to bed
being told what to do
if we say someone is stronger then him
volcanos
"mommy shows"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAI! We love you and can't imagine life without you! Have the best day EVER!!!

Kai Cut His Hair

Today Kai cut his hair. Not a little bit of hair that we could just comb over, he did some serious damage. I will admit, I was beyond mad. I wasn't nice about it and didn't hide my frustration. I wanted to punish him and punish him good! He cut his hair the day before his birthday when TONS of pictures would be taken, TONS! The more I thought about it the angrier it made me.

But, who could stay mad at this boy?

Not ME!
