Dr. Seuss's Birthday

One of my biggest goals as a mother is to make life for my kids memorable. I want them to have fun and enjoy life. I know worries and hardships will come but right now I want them to have fun. One way I try to make this happen is by celebrating just about everything. Anything to make the days different and exciting. I often hear the complaints of Stay at Home Moms that being home is like Groundhogs Day. Everyday is the same as the next. I try my very hardest for that not to be the case at our house.

As I was planning out the things we were going to celebrate in 2011 I was most excited about Dr. Seuss's Birthday. We hadn't done it before and I knew the kids would love it. This week has been busy and I didn't get to do everything I had planned but it was a wonderful night, and the kids loved it. Of course who can complain about 3 desserts.

These were ice cream cones with cotton candy.

You do the most fun things for your kids! Where do you get your ideas? Or do you come up with them on your own? I'm definitely going to be searching your blog as my kid(s) get older because you do such fun things. Also, I was out today when the schools let out and I saw kids dressed funny and with funny hair and I realized they must have been dressed Dr. Seuss's b-day too. Thanks for giving me that heads up :)

I LOVE this idea and I love your thoughts on making days celebratory and special with your kids. It gives me inspiration of what I want to do when my own little ones are here! This idea is absolutely DARLING!
