Punta Cana - Part 4

Our big adventure zip lining finally got here. We had to get up early to catch the bus that took us up the mountain, but it turned out to be totally worth it.

Here we are waiting for the bus.

We had to pass through this place shortly after we started up the mountain. I guess "toto we aren't on the resort anymore" would have been an understatement.

One of the first things they did was show us on this diagram the course we could be going on.
Then more instructions. I think it was around this time that I determined I had to be first for two reasons. First I knew I wouldn't want to go after seeing someone else, and second that harness was crazy tight and I wanted to get it off! HA
Good News, I was first! AND IT WAS AWESOME!

It was so awesome, and I would love to do it again!

But honestly aside from all the fun, today was a tough day for me. Having to wake up to an alarm clock turned out to not to be the worst part. Prior to the zip lining there was a 2 hour drive up the mountain past many little villages. It was hard to see. I struggled holding back my tears most of the drive up, and found another reason that I love huge sunglasses. Every time we passed a child that was around the age of one of my children it was nearly unbearable. All I could think about was the huge box of shoes the children have outgrown in the basement. I wanted to just toss shoes to each of the children.
