Thankful

Sometimes when Elle wakes up from her nap she's still a little sleepy, and so we snuggle up until she is ready to rejoin the world. Those are my favorite days. We lay on my bed as her eyes slowly shift from open to closed, and then open again. 

I can help but remember the day Brian and I went to the temple to prayerfully ask if our family of six was complete. I remember sitting next to Brian, both of us silent, until I looked over at him and said, 

" there's one more."

He smiled at me saying, "and it's a girl."

And here she is, the answer to our prayers. This perfect baby girl.
