Here I am up at Midnight!

So, we are headed off to Oregon tomorrow for a couple nights to see my dad on a business trip, and to have some fun with the kids. Now, this is not a trip that we decided to go on yesterday or one that I haven't been working constantly to get ready for, and yet here I am up at midnight the night before with a growing "TO DO" list, the washer AND dryer running, and bags open half packed. So I have to wonder am I not doing as much as thought I had been in preparation for our excursion, or is there some sort of unwritten rule that says: "no matter what you do to be organized and well rested before a trip (or birthday party) you will still be running around like a chicken with your head cut off with last minute preparations!

That is so me too...no matter how well I plan I am always up forever the night before trips. I always make Kirk go to bed and I stay up so one of us is at least rested! Have a fun trip, and I will see you next week!

Whenever I have company come to stay I am convinced that it's so much harder to host.

Then when I am the one traveling, I am just as certain that it's so much harder to travel. Especially when you are packing for three extra people!

At least you have a chance to play with your dad at the end of it all!

Say HI to your dad for us!!!!

Loved the post!!! Every mom know EXACTLY what you are describing!

I blame it on vacation gnomes!!! They lose everyones shoes, right before we go on a long trip!!!

I just think it's funny that you are so busy, but still had to take the time to write one last blog before you left! I LOVE IT!
