4th of July

Brian and I decided it would be fun to have a little 4th of July Party. We invited a bunch of our friends, and were excited for this super fun day.

We started the day with festive pancakes. Each kiddo had their name and a shooting star. Then, of course, Brian and I hate the scraps! HA

The plan was to let all the kids play on the water slide, eat dinner, then head over the Park's house to use their driveway for fireworks. It ended up being a pretty cold day and I thought maybe we should just let the kids play, no water. I was quickly out voted, swimsuits were on, and the water started. They didn't seem to notice it was BARLEY 70 degrees outside.

What is on your face?

Oh No, someone is ticked off!

The adorable Max!
I love that Alex has the biggest smile in all these pictures, he is the best!

So after dinner we headed over to the Park's house (they were out of town) for fireworks. When we got down there, their neighbors had already set up their extremely elaborate set up. We spent almost the whole night enjoying their thousands of dollars worth of fireworks. Olivia was scared to death and wasn't outside too long. She started out in the car, then to the truck, and finally she was inside crying. It is just too loud for her!

After I took her inside I went back out to watch fireworks with the boys. Brian and I were sitting on the back of the truck with Kai in hand when on of the fireworks flung off its board and flew right at us. Brian and I both dove to cover Kai. I felt a little spark on my forehead, but Brian got the bulk of the hit on his neck. No one was hurt but it was very scary!

The kids and dad's were totally impressed with the HUGE production.

Olivia wouldn't go near a sparkler!

Here is were the girls hid most of the night! IT WAS LOUD!

Oh how Kai loves Shari!

The aftermath!
