The first and most important news for the day was that Kai lost his first tooth. I am heartbroken. I secretly wanted Kai to have his baby teeth FOREVER, but Kai couldn't be more thrilled. So for him I am trying to be happy.
Yesterday while the children were still in school Luke and I went to the store to stock up on S'more fixings. Because of the excitement for the s'mores we had a backwards dinner and ate s'mores first and dinner second! It was a hit! This was Luke's fourth outfit of the day. He sure has a talent for putting an outfit together!
I love watching them roast marshmallows. There are 2 methods commonly used around our fire pit. The first method, mostly used by Ethan, Kai, and Luke, is get the marshmallow as close to the fire as possible to get to making another s'more as fast as possible. This method has about 50% survival rate of actually becoming a s'more and not just becoming part of the fire. The second method used largely by Brian and Olivia is to keep the marshmallow far away from the fire, and evenly brown the marshmallow. This method has about a 90% survival rate which means Brian and Olivia ate 2 times as many s'more as the boys!
Luke did not make it to dinner. He fell asleep on the couch at 7:30, dirty face and all!
