Old State House Connecticut

Brian had a work meeting this morning so the children and I were on our own for a few hours to check out the hotel and get some swimming done!

After Brian got back we cleaned up, got lunch and headed out to our first Hartford adventure! The Old State House.

They all took a turn banging the gavel

The the very end of the tour they had a really cool exhibit where you build Hartford on the grid with houses, farms, apartments, buildings, etc. to see how it has changed over the years. It was super fun and super interesting!
The children's favorite part of the tour was the room that reminded me of Ripley's Believe it or Not.

Day 1 was a success!
